At Hinton Park Holidays we appreciate how important it is to recognise the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility. We try to ensure that we operate as sustainably and responsibly as we can. We believe in taking care of the environment and by recycling and separating waste into our clearly signed recycling bins, we are doing our part to keep the environment clean and green.
Supporting Local Producers and Suppliers / Welcome Hamper
We support local producers and trades and encourage our guests to buy local produce too as recommended by ourselves. We buy the majority of our Welcome Hamper items locally wherever possible. We provide guidance on where our guests can purchase more items to use on holiday or to take home at the many farm and individual shops nearby. In providing our hampers using locally produced products not only reduces our carbon footprint and reduces food miles, but supports the nearby community, providing jobs and income to the local area. We give recommendations of local eating places where we promote local attractions and amenities.
Reduced Waste
In our property, Croftview, we ask our guests to be environmentally mindful during their stay, asking them to turn off appliances when not needed. All Electric lights are on sensors and the heating/hot water on a timer through an app so can be placed on standby if required. We encourage guests to have time out without using the car and make use of the numerous marked walks surrounding the beautiful countryside of the property on the estate.
Electric Charging
At Hinton Park Estate, we have installed three dedicated electric charging stations for electric cars. In the event of an emergency power cut, provision has been made for a generator to be installed externally, large enough to serve the property and all car charging points.
Reducing Plastic
Our complimentary toiletries supplier is committed to sustainability, they have no chemicals harmful to the environment and supply their products in recyclable containers using purely natural ingredients. They are vegan friendly and cruelty free.
Biodegradable poop bags are provided for guests staying with dogs.
Water & Wildlife
Guests are encouraged to use the filtered drinking water from the specialist tap contained within the main kitchen of the property.
Many areas of the surrounding gardens are planted throughout with trees shrubs and borders that encourage insects and wildlife as well as certain areas on the fields within the Estate having wildflower borders planted purposely to encourage wildlife.
